Party Decorations & Themes for April Fools' Day include rearranging things out of place such as serve the food on the bed and drinks on the floor. Place the pillows on the fridge. Another idea is to place everything upside down. Using odd items to decorate a place is a good idea too such as arranging socks, shoes, torn rags and broken toys, tools and other junk pieces of the household. Some of the other ideas include:
  • For Science Geeks: Decorate with beakers, pictures of lighted bulbs, thermometers, wires, cables and pipettes. Welcome the guests wearing Einstein wig and glasses and a big nose.
  • For Nature Lovers: Decorate with leaves, stuffed animals, dead flowers, animal masks and sticks and twigs. Ask guests to wear leaves or clothes with leaf or animal prints to the party.
  • For Computer Nerds & Book Worms: Decorate with torn pages of the book, newspapers and print out of the screen capture of various websites. Scrawl different equations on the wall in crayons. Make kid like drawings of hut and sun.
  • Zoo Party Theme: Decorate with animal puppets and prints. Hang bananas and peanuts by strings as if for monkeys. You can also hang jelly sandwiches by strings. Use plastic toy animals to add the jungle feel. Act like Tarzan and Jane.
  • Other Ideas: Search out the junkyard and prepare traps and snares for the people to trick them as they enter.
